Signalscope

See your phone's real signal, live.

Signalscope turns your phone's cellular and Wi-Fi radios into a clean, real-time instrument: a live dBm signal gauge, 5G and LTE cell towers, a Wi-Fi channel analyzer, a coverage map, and a speed test. No clutter, no ads, no tracking.

01

The problem

Signal bars tell you almost nothing, and the apps that show the real numbers are cluttered, ad-filled, and built for engineers. People wanted to know why the signal is weak in one room, whether their 5G is real, and which Wi-Fi channel is clear, without reading a datasheet.

02

The decisions

One calm instrument panel. A live dBm gauge that reads at a glance, the cell tower and band you are actually on, a Wi-Fi channel view that points to the clear lane, and a speed test measured the way real test clients do. Everything runs on device, with no account and no tracking, because signal data is personal.

03

The outcome

Built in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose with Material You, ready for Google Play. The depth power users want sits under a surface a first-time user understands in seconds.

Signalscope Wi-Fi channel analyzer showing a channel-occupancy graph across 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz and a list of nearby networks.
Signalscope cell screen showing serving and neighbor cell towers with band, PCI, RSRP and SINR.
Signalscope speed test result showing download, upload, ping and jitter, with history.
Signalscope coverage map showing your location and nearby cell towers.
Signalscope charts screen plotting signal strength over time from a logging session.
