Delete your Signalscope data
Signalscope is operated by Snowah. This page explains how to remove the data Signalscope handles, in line with the Google Play User Data policy and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Signalscope has no account. There is no login, no profile, and no server-side record tied to you. Everything the app measures stays on your device, and the only data that leaves your device is anonymous diagnostics that are not linked to your identity.
What Signalscope stores on your device
All of this lives only on your phone or tablet and is never uploaded to us:
- Your settings (theme, units, sampling interval, alert thresholds, and similar preferences).
- Your signal, cell-tower and Wi-Fi readings, the logging sessions you record, your signal-over-time charts, and any CSV files you export.
- Your speed-test history.
- Your approximate or precise location, which Android requires to read cell-tower identity and scan Wi-Fi. It is used on-device only to show nearby towers and coverage and is never transmitted to us or anyone else.
Delete your on-device data
Because this data is local, you control it directly:
- Delete sessions in the app. Open Tools → Logs and remove any recorded sessions and their exports.
- Uninstall the app. Removing Signalscope deletes all of the data above in one step.
- Or clear it from your device settings. On Android, open Settings → Apps → Signalscope → Storage → “Clear storage”.
You can also revoke the location, phone and notification permissions at any time in your device settings; the app keeps working and simply stops using those features.
Anonymous analytics and crash data
The only data that leaves your device is anonymous usage analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) and crash diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics). These are tied to a random app-install identifier, not to your name, email, or an account, and they cannot be used to identify you. Collection is disabled in debug builds.
This data resets if you reinstall the app, and Google expires it automatically (crash data within roughly 90 days, analytics within Firebase's default retention window). If you would like us to purge the records associated with your current install sooner, email us at hello@snowah.com with the subject Delete my Signalscope data. We will action it within 30 days; most requests are handled within 72 hours.
What we never hold
Because there is no account, there is no remote profile to delete. We do not store your name, email, location, signal readings, logs, or exports on any server.
